Electronic Textile Camp 2023
For 10 days, I was in the charming town of Vicksburg, Michigan, surrounded by a vibrant community of fiber enthusiasts, DIY electronics aficionados, and wool enthusiasts who shared a fascination for merging technology with textile craftsmanship.
I explored ways to design meaningful and playful wearable devices, I experimented with a variety of conductive materials.
I explored the basic concepts of bobbin lace and brainstormed ideas for how computational design could enhance the creation of intricate lace artifacts.
I learned how to operate a knitting machine and explored the potential of different knitted structures to influence and shape specific interactions.
I aimed to be playful and curious, but above all, to challenge myself to learn new skills.
