Electronic Textile Camp 2023

For 10 days, I was in the charming town of Vicksburg, Michigan, surrounded by a vibrant community of fiber enthusiasts, DIY electronics aficionados, and wool enthusiasts who shared a fascination for merging technology with textile craftsmanship.

I explored ways to design meaningful and playful wearable devices, I experimented with a variety of conductive materials.

I explored the basic concepts of bobbin lace and brainstormed ideas for how computational design could enhance the creation of intricate lace artifacts.

I learned how to operate a knitting machine and explored the potential of different knitted structures to influence and shape specific interactions.
